Mabungo Cultural Experience

The Mabungo Cultural Group, established in 2008, is based in Kisoro District, southwestern Uganda, about 10 kilometers from Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. Originally formed by a small group of people with a passion for sharing Uganda’s rich cultural heritage through entertainment, the group has since grown to 34 members. Today, the Mabungo Cultural Group is renowned for offering the Mabungo Cultural Experience, an immersive journey into the traditions and customs of Uganda. Their performances include traditional music, dance, and storytelling, showcasing the beauty and diversity of local culture.

The group engages in a wide range of cultural activities, attracting visitors from around the world. These performances not only serve as entertainment but also as a means of educating people about the unique cultural practices of the region. Through their efforts, the members of the Mabungo Cultural Group generate income that supports their families, covering essential needs such as shelter, food, education, and healthcare.
